Unfortunately, as I had hoped, the intensity of homework/studying/projects has not lightened up. I'm not sure why I thought senior year of college would be the same as senior year in high school. College is really different from high school, in all ways possible. I'm glad its taken me about four years to realize that I wouldn't get a break from this intensity.
I spent my weekend doing homework and trying to catch up with homework, and tried to get ahead. I didn't get ahead, but now I'm on schedule with all my work. I always like to be ahead so I have time to relax, but its not happening. Also, unfortunately, I've caught someone's bug. I felt awful today in class and just needed to get out, but we had to work on a project after class so I never got my break.
I was supposed to have my PT test this morning. I arrived to class and took my sit-up and push-up test, which I did quite nicely on, but then one of the leaders told me that since I still can't run, I can just leave. So, I left. I went to the Bell Center and did my leg exercises and then went home. I got an email later from the Captain asking for my run time! I wish they had better communication. I really didn't want to get the two leaders that told me that I didn't have to run in trouble, but I have a feeling that all three of us will be in trouble. I'm not sure why Captain is so troubled with my lack of participating in running-its not like I'm not doing it on purpose. I tried running, didn't work out so well, so what am I supposed to do? Oh well, I guess we'll see what happens on Wednesday. I did talk to a guy that was about 40 seconds slower than me and asked him how his run was. We had 40 mph winds this morning with the weather feeling like 35 degrees Fahrenheit, and he did awesome! Makes me feel kind of bad, because if I had improved at the same rate he did, I would have reached my goal of a 16 min 2 mile. I really hope I can run again, very soon.

Over the weekend I was walking back from Cottage Grove down 29th towards University, when I was hit on by 3 middle school aged boys. After they finally went home and stopped their comments, I thought about where they lived, how old they were, and realized that I would be their teacher come this Spring at Callanan Middle School! Weird. Very weird! I hope they remember my face, so next time when they try to hit on some girls, they'll think twice.
This weekend will be very eventful.
Friday is ISA night, with international students having cultural performances, including dance, song, and whatever they desire followed by a dinner. Then Saturday is APO pledge retreat. I will probably have to babysit also on that day, so I'll only be around for the first part. Then Sunday is one event in the series of the Senior Experience. We have an Etiquette Dinner. We're all really nervous, because we know that we don't have very good etiquette, but it still sounds like a lot of fun.
I need to go to APO EC meeting rt now, so stay warm and avoid the winds!!
