I-80 issues

My drive back to Drake yesterday was quite eventful. There were too many cops, too many cars, and too many accidents along the way. I was going at a good speed when all of a sudden everyone hit their brakes and we were at a standstill for a couple of minutes and then traveling at less than 5 mph for hour. No one had any idea what was going on. All we saw was one cop car to the right of us with her flashers on, and about a mile up the road another cop sitting inside his car waving a yellow baton out his window. Turns out a gasoline truck had flipped over onto its back with the wheels in the air into the median, and I think the driver was stuck inside. Truck top was smashed. Pretty bad. But, hoping the driver lived some were not as fortunate. Talking today with a couple of friends I found out there were many more car accidents later on Sunday evening. A Drake sophomore student, David Hobbs, was in a two-car accident and unfortunately died. I didn't know him, but I'm sure I saw him around campus. Things like this really scare me, especially since I've been to college so many of my peers have passed away. It's just a constant reminder that as much as we think we're invincible we're not. So there you go. My condolences to the Hobbs family.

As for another repeat....I ran, and now I hurt. I'm thinking my doctor was wrong when he said it was just strained ligaments because its been far too long and I'm still hurting. I did, however, in my judgment, get much further than usual. I think I made it to a mile before I started to hurt, so that is a definite improvement. I have five class periods left of PT and then I'm done for the semester! I'm not sure if I'll be able to run the 2 mile, but so far, it doesn't seem like its going to happen, which means I need to kick-butt on my sit-ups and push-ups. My goal is 82 sit-ups and 55 push-ups. Wish me luck for next Monday! Time for some serious homework! tootles for now.

Homework load is manageable!
