My Labor Day Weekend!

I think this was by far my best weekend in a really long time! The entire time was great fun.
Friday I hung out with Meryl. We went to Hobby Lobby to pick up a few art supplies, got dinner at Planet Sub, which by the way is definitely my new favorite sandwich place, and then went back and worked on our art projects. We bought some wooden picture frames that were 12" x 12" to decorate with paint and ribbon. I also bought a box with glass sides so I can put pictures inside of them as a picture jewelry box. I need to finish my projects and then I can hang them up and show everyone what they look like, so hopefully somewhat soon that will happen.

Saturday I tried to work on homework, but that didn't work out too well. But, at night I went to Gray's Lake with my roommate, Annelise, and her friend Erin. We watched Happy Feet! A word of warning if you happen to go to Gray's Lake to watch movies, don't sit on the edges or near the speakers because you won't understand a word of what they're saying. Needless to say, we missed the first 10 minutes trying to figure out what the characters were saying so we moved over about 10 feet and the sound quality was MUCH better.

Sunday was probably the best day! During the day I went shoe shopping with Meryl. I bought three pairs of shoes, none of which I terribly need so I need to return at least one pair. Then, we made ourselves some salads at HyVee, and some chicken tenders and fries at her house and had ourselves a nice dinner. I have to tell you that frozen foods is sometimes much better than campus food, so I really enjoyed my meal. Then we worked on our crafts again. I left around 7:30, and then by 9:30 I was out again. My friend Grant invited me to go to a party with him and his girlfriend. I didn't know anyone there, so it was a little awkward, and right when it was getting fun I got a phone call from Derrick asking to go riding with him. Seriously, you can't resist a bike ride! So by 11:30pm I was gone with him! I have to tell you that was AWESOME. I absolutely loved it. I wish I could drive a motorcycle, or as he calls it, a motorscooter because its aka a crotch rocket. We basically went from one Quick Trip to another, chilled and off we went again. I got home at 2:30 and didn't get to bed until after 3 am.

Monday was sort of designated as a homework day, but homework didn't get done much. I need to get into the swing of things so I get my work done. What a wonderful weekend. I want a motorscooter! Okay, until later I must get something done! Take care :)
