My summer is off to a slow start but its been great so far...although, I do miss Drake a lot already!
I've been able to sleep in every day so far which is so unlike me because usually I like to wake up early and get as much done as possible in one day rather than sleep in and waste my day away; but sleep has been good, too.
Yesterday I spontaneously spent the afternoon and evening with Julie. I was at the library and when I left I called her and was planning on spending a few hours with her before I headed over to my dad's house, but instead I ended up not going home until 9 pm. We went to the mall and tried on fancy-crazy dresses for fun. Too bad we didn't have our cameras because we tried on some pretty scary dresses. It was great because I haven't had to really try on a dress since high school prom! Then, just like old times, we went to Bakers Square for dinner and for dessert ordered a slice of French Silk pie and a slice of Oreo pie, split them and shared them! Tomorrow night I'll be hanging out with Julie and her brother. I'm not sure what we're doing yet, but I think we're doing dinner and possibly mini-golfing.
I might even hang out with Andy during the day. He's going to Uganda for the summer! I'm totally jealous of his abilities to travel so freely. I don't think he's spent a break at home yet. He's always on the run to some other country. He's traveled through Asia, Australia, possibly South America, and now Africa. Lucky duck if you ask me. Travelling is my dream, so even though I can't do it now, I will do it someday :) This I promise myself.
I'll be 21 soon!
The job search still continues. We shall see where I end up!
Until later, I'm going to go buy a new TV for my room at home! Happy summer to all!
