Yay for Finals Week! Celebrate good times, c'mon!
I got my tragus pierced this weekend. It wasn't really painful, but it did tingle and the guy doing the piercing accidentally jerked on it, and that was painful. Yesterday was the worst pain of all, but that was because I slept on it all night and when I woke up it was extra sore. Now its just tender. I like it. Just hoping to resist infection and keloids.
It was Greg's birthday, but we didn't do anything. Sadly, I was sick the entire weekend and I just broke my fever last night. I feel kind of bad because for the last 2 years I've thrown him surprise birthday parties, and this year I didn't do anything for him and it was his 21st birthday. His parents are taking him to Las Vegas for his birthday once he goes home, though, so I'm sure my lack of doing something for his birthday will be made up by his parents.
My birthday is in 24 days and counting. I don't have anything special planned, but I'll be 21 and that is weird. That means in 9 years I'll be 30 and that is just scary. Hopefully, by then, I will have all my debt paid off.
I can't seem to concentrate enough to study for my two finals. I'm going to have movie night with Erin tonight at her place at 9, and then have a final tomorrow morning at 9:30 am. Tomorrow is a super busy day, and I don't think I'll have time to study for my final on Wednesday but I'm really, REALLY hoping that we walk in and she has us do the smart board set up and nothing else. The class last semester didn't have a final. All they did was the set-up and then they watched math movies, which I would do over a final any day. I hate testing. I will leave it on that before I go off on a tangent about my deep rooted feelings about testing.
I received my grades from my Middle School and Curriculum Methods professor in the mail today. He wrote the nicest message ever and it made me feel so good about myself. He started off by saying, "Sonal, you are awesome." He liked my energy and believes Ill be one of the top 5% of high performing teachers and he wants me to keep his middle school in mind to teach at someday. It was all so heartfelt :) Thanks Mr. Shoemaker!
Well, I really should study some before I go watch a movie. take care!
