The First Snow!

Happy 22nd Birthday to Hetal! She's one of my oldest friends! We've been friends since I was in second grade (she doesn't remember being friends before that even though we were!). Now, we don't keep in touch as much as we used to, but I guess we both have our own lives.

It's snowing outside!

It's pretty but I'm not that thrilled about having to drive in snow, especially because my brakes don't work the best even after getting them adjusted...since that's all they said was wrong with it. I have a gut feeling that when I die it'll be in car accident. Weird, I know, but its just a feeling I have.

I really want to go ice skating now! People never understand my love for ice skating. For me, ice skating is that peaceful place to go to to relieve stress. Sure, there is that stress of running people over, being run over, or having horrendous ice conditions, but being able to fly over the ice sweating while freezing and coming in to hot chocolate is just an experience I absolutely love. I love when there aren't too many people out and you can skate however you please...fast, slow, in circles, spin, fall, try new tricks. I'm not so brave anymore. When I was younger, ice skating was the sport that caused me to get sprained ankles, sprained wrists, bruises, and all those other fun things. Now, I'm more cautious. I'm afraid I'll see my students out there. As much as it's awkward for them to have me where they hang out, its the same awkwardness for me. They see me as the older, mostly poised teacher (I have my moments) and on the ice I love being goofy...just having fun. I'm pretty goofy in class too...only with the ones I know I can goofy in, but still.

The snow isn't sticking to the ground and its gone from fluffy snow to smaller, wet snow. I really need to get out, even if its just for grocery shopping.

Later!
