I drove back to Drake yesterday. I really should have left on Sunday because of the weather. The winter so far has been rather mild and enjoyable and of course the day I have to leave for school it snows and covers my car in a sheet of ice to the point I couldn't open anything! After some scraping I got going and made my way. I hate driving and so I try to make my drive as fast as possible, but when I left there were flurries, ice on the roads, and then it stopped...and then it snowed harder. My drive wasn't terrible, but it wasn't comfortable. My roommate decided she didn't want to drive in the snow so she didn't come back to school today, which worked out great for her because she only had one class. I had two and have one at 5, so I have to leave pretty soon. So far I have twenty hours of practicum to complete, we'll see how many more 10 hour practicums get added. I have lots of reading homework already, which I plan on getting started after my night class. The way my schedule is I don't make any of the dining hours so my Tuesdays will involve Spikes all day. Spikes isn't my first choice, but food is food. I won't be seeing any of the campus this semester because 4 of my 6 classes are in the School of Ed and then the last 2, which are both math-with the same professor and same classroom- is in Meredith. I'm kind of upset because my night class tonight was supposed to be in Meredith which is right next door to my dorm, but it got switched to the School of Education which is a longer walk for me. I wouldn't mind so much if it weren't so cold and if it wasn't a night class. It really creeps me out to walk alone at night.
I'm still waiting on Greg for the pictures.
On a brighter note, I might go ice skating on Friday!!! I'm sooo excited. I haven't been ice skating at all this winter. I usually go at least twice a winter. I used to go almost every weekend when I was in high school, but then they shut my ice rink down so going now doesn't happen much unless I go to State Street Skate in downtown Chicago. I'm looking forward to Friday already.
Yesterday we had an APO poster making party that took 2 hours. I thought it'd take like 15 minutes...boy was I wrong. Then we had an EC APO meeting at 10 that took like 40 min. These meetings are taking longer than I had anticipated. I need to email about the blood drive and find out about storage so I don't have to keep all this APO stuff in my room. I got to get ready for class. till laterz!
