Doing Better

Procrastination kills all.
Yesterday was a pretty busy day for me. I had to be at Meredith Hall at 8:30 am to work with the Girl Scout Brownies and help them get their Eco Explorer and Senses triads. That was a ton of fun. Its so interesting to see how little depth you have to go into things for children of that age. It was basically a 3.5 hour science lesson and I have to tell you that the teacher in me was aching for some organization, better activities, and graphic organizers. They learned about habitats, food chains, nature, and all the senses stuff. I wasn't in charge, but just helping so I didn't get to say such things as, "if you show the girls the food chain in this way they'll actually understand it". Anyway, that was until noon, and then I went to David's Bridal to get my bridesmaid dress altered and to get some shoes. Unfortunately, it seems as though this season's shoes are extremely ugly. I had the hardest time finding a pair of shoes that I liked and that actually fit well, and in the end of the ones that I actually liked were of course one of the more expensive ones. I thought that maybe they were so ugly in the hopes of having ugly bridesmaids, but when I looked at the ads in the Sunday paper today I found out that all the shoes are ugly this season. Sad, so very sad. My night ended with babysitting.

Now, this morning I could have gotten up early to do my laundry and work on my portfolio but decided to sleep in and then hang out with Greg instead of doing anything productive. Now, I have to go to meetings so I won't be back until 5...BOOOO. I'm horrible at getting things done. This is the ultimate Senioritis in college. I'm ready to be done for now-and not have anything to do.

As for my health, I'm feeling tons better. All I have now is the stuffy/runny nose and a gross cough, but that should be through by the end of this week.

Drake Relays are coming up and the events are already beginning!!! I'm SO excited! Blitz Day was this last Thursday, where they reveal the Relays theme for this year which is: "Relays, the Sole of Drake" FUNNY! Today is Sand Volleyball and next Saturday is Street Painting...MY FAVORITE! April 20th is the Relays Parade at 3 pm and so much more for the rest of week. My next post will have the entire schedule.

As for now, I have to go to my meetings. I have you have a great night!

Peace out.
