Living Life

Considering how much I have to do I am rather calm. Hard to believe, right? Yeah, I'm surprised at myself too. Maybe I've just become numb to being stressed all the time that now its just part of my everyday life. Tomorrow I'm going to the ICTM conference. This is an annual conference for mathematics in iowa. Don't tell, but I'm really excited about it. Everyone in class is upset about going ,but I'm really looking forward to going. Conferences give such great information and handouts that its so worth the time to go. I'm glad that the math professors at Drake tell us about it, and actually they require us to go. I have to take notes because I'm required to write 6 -1 to 1.5 page papers. Yeah...thats what I get for being excited...plus 5 packets and a presentation! This is all for 2 classes. I include this as one class because its the same professor, in the same classroom, the same days...right in a row.

I found this cool link for prospective students to look at..it has most of the buildings and you can see pictures of the inside of the building. You may have to click on View Rooms to see it. I thought it was quite interesting.

This week has gone by so fast. I've noticed that the weeks that are the most hectic go by the fastest. I'm not sure if I see that as a good or bad thing.

I haven't seen Cammeo and Corie in forever! This is really sad. The other day I was walking past GK and Cammeo screamed SONAL! out the window, but she was going to take a nap so we didnt get to hang out. Then, Corie I think has a more chaotic schedule than me because she works like 30 hours a week, plus school. I love those girls.

My roommate Annelise and I have a plan for next year for rooming...but I can't say what the plan is until it is executed and the results have come. She's going to Northwestern this weekend to visit friends, so thats exciting for her. Next week is siblings weekend so I'll get to meet her sister. I've actually met her before but didn't get to talk to her.

If all turns out well, then I can go home on March 9!

Lastly, I have a Relay for Life team!!!! YaY! I'm the captain of the Drake Education Association team, mostly b/c I'm the president, but hey, whatever works. My goal was 8 members and I just hit that goal today! I hope more people join and donate. It's for a great cause. You can check up on well Drake is doing with donations if you go to www.relayforlifeofdrake.com. If you want to donate, you totally should! We'll be walking for 12 hours on March 30-31st to show that cancer never sleeps. In the past few years I've had two of my close friends' moms die, so this is really important for me. I want to get as many people involved as I can.

ooo, I might have a surprise after tomorrow...if it happens, I'll post about it. Otherwise I'll just tell you later what it was supposed to be! stay tuned :)

Ciao.
