I love Valentine's Day

Today was absolutely amazing. Last year was quite the opposite so I think because I had that image in the back of my mind today seemed to go by perfectly. On Monday my boss at work gave me A TON of mini M&M's in a cute heart shaped wire basket. Then the part that blew me away and made me really excited for Valentine's day was when I returned to my room last night (to watch a movie with Erin) I found a teddy bear with a Drake t-shirt and a handmade card that said "to my mommy" from my APO pledge kid. He is AMAZING!! He's pretty much the perfect son...and not b/c of this, but even before this. He is totally playing into the whole parent/son thing, and I love it! He calls Greg dad b/c when Josh found out that I'd be able to be his pledge parent he said, "so do I have a mom AND a dad or is this a single parent family?"...and with that I said, well...Greg can be your dad! and he was thrilled. This morning I got Valentine's from many of my friends, a package from home with the cutest red blazer (YaY), and Tulips and chocolate from Gregory. We also went to out to eat at La Mie, a half fancy/pricey restaurant b/c we didn't want to to go Hubbell tonight. Campus food after three years gets a little old. Overall, Fabulous day. Couldn't have been better!!

I taught my first Junior Achievement lesson today. I thought it was a little not great b/c I had to cram a 30 minute lesson into basically 15, but I did it and the teacher loved it so I'm happy. Next week we're going to make pretend doughnuts and I might bring them some doughnut holes but evidently Des Moines doesn't have a DunkinDonut! craziness...I'll find Donut King.

I think this may be one of my first happy entries in awhile...sorry for the sadness, frustration, and anger..I'm okay...for now. haha. Lots going on within the next few weeks so stay tuned for awesomeness.

Now I will leave you with a link that I think everyone should watch....connect it to your area of study and it'll have more meaning...and especially connect it to your college experience or to your to-be college experience:
