Praxis II

I had my Praxis II exam today and it was nothing like the practice tests I took. I think I did alright but I'll know for certain in about four weeks. Apparently, I miss the memo to wear your school's sweatshirt/gear to the test. I arrived and everyone was representing their schools. Personally, I thought it was kind of funny. I didn't take part in said activity because I wore my favorite shirt instead :) I think the teaching career brings about many interesting/odd looking people; is that mean to say? I wonder if people say the same thing about me. I also noticed everyone in the room had the same mannerisms. I don't really like that for the fact that I don't want to be like everyone else. I got up at 5:30am because my drive to the testing facility was 45 minutes and I wanted enough time to get there, sign-in and hopefully get started early so I could leave early. The exam was to begin at 7:30 am but the facilitators didn't come meet us in the lobby until 7:50, and we didn't begin testing until 8:30am. I had a small breakfast but after all that time my stomach was rumbling throughout the duration of the test, which I found rather distracting for myself. I was also really sleepy because I didn't get much sleep last night. I had the test jitters. I finished my exam with about 20 minutes to spare so I went back to check over a few of my answers and I changed them! I know everyone says to leave your answers as they are because usually your first instinct is your correct one, but I did it anyway in hopes of changing it to the correct answer. All truth will be revealed in about a month!

This time next week I'll be driving back to Des Moines!

Yesterday was my daddy's birthday and we went out for his birthday-two days in a row.

Right now at the Museum of Science and Industry, they are are having free admission because of their 75th anniversary celebration. I'm hoping I get to go, but not sure yet.

Right now, I need to go shopping and then I think I'm going to visit my aunt in Chicago!

Take care!
