I went to the doctor yesterday and found out that I just strained all the ligaments surrounding my knee from overuse. This means I'm excused from running and any high impact activity on my knee for the next two weeks. I personally don't like this solution because my goal was to improve my two mile time. If I can't run, I can't improve my time, but at the same time I have to heal before I can run again.
This semester is going by really fast. I can't believe that Halloween is just around the corner, which means Thanksgiving is one month away, and from that we will have a month of school before we get our Winter break! Craziness! With all that, I'm one step closer to student teaching.
I haven't even begun any of my practicums yet. I realized it won't be as bad as I thought. I'm only required to find time for 10 of my hours because the other 25 will be done during class time. I also have another 7 hour practicum with my mentor for the TQP program, which I hope to begin this coming Friday.
This last Friday I went to the Comedian show that was held in Olmsted. She was pretty good, but I felt like she never finished any of her jokes. She'd start one, become distracted and then start another one. I hate being picked on at comedian shows but I always end up sitting next to people that are being picked on, which ultimately means that I'd be picked on. I knew this lady wanted to pick on me because of my reaction to one of her jokes, but as she looked at me trying to think of something to say I looked the other way, so thankfully, I avoided the situation.
Considering Halloween is coming up, a lot of fun activities should be coming up. Last year Drake had a field trip to Sleepy Hollow, where we got to go on a hay ride, go in haunted houses, haunted forest, and would have been a corn maze if it hadn't flooded, so I'm really looking forward to that this year. Although, I might have to babysit come Halloween weekend, so maybe all the fun activities won't happen for me.
I need to do homework, so until later-have fun and enjoy the weather!
