Friday night we ended up not going to the double-feature drive-in movie because Greg had a fever and just didn't feel well at all. With any other person a fever isn't horrible, but in Greg's case a fever means he may have an infection and could possibly die within a few hours! We ended up taking him to the ER to have blood counts and blood cultures done, so they could see what could be wrong with him. After they got the results back, it seemed as though all his counts were fine, so they suggested we monitor him through the weekend. They prescribed some anti-nausea medicine and I think an anti-biotic.
Saturday was supposed to be zoo day, but we didn't go because Greg needed to rest AND it was ridiculously hot outside. We did, however, go the Rockies v. Cubs game at Coors Field! I was rooting for the Cubs until it became evident that they were going to lose and that didn't take very long. I got a Colorado Rockies visor out of it! It was a lot of fun. Before the game, we walked around 16th St. Mall, finally!
Sunday, we drove into the mountains for Jon and Shelley. Last time I went I don't think I was feeling well and I slept a lot...this time it was awesome, especially because I got to sit in the front. We shopped around Silverthorne and I got new Adidas shoes because my Pumas are just about dead now. The traffic back was horrible! We finally got out of the bind and made a few stops around allowing Jon and Shelley to get a gift card for Greg's parents, I returned the stuff I got from Target, and Greg and I bought web-cams to help us get through Fall semester!
It was a good time in Denver. Next time I come visit Greg's parents will have moved out of this house and into their new one, so that should be cool to see. I'm glad Jon and Shelley came out, too. One thing everyone should do is hang out outside of the school setting when school isn't in session because thats when you really get to know people, plus its funner that way!
I'm going to go tidy up now. Greg's mom will be here in about 2 hours to pick me up and then head over to the airport. My flight leaves at 2:20 with a 2 hour layover in Sioux Falls, and then I'll get home at about 8:30! I hope they don't lose my luggage this time.
Have a fabulous week everyone!
