Yesterday was Perla's 21st birthday and guess what we did? We went to the CASINO! I guess this makes up for the fact that I never bought a lottery ticket...or is that for 18? Oh well, point being is that we had a ton of fun! It was a Wednesday night and to our surprise the place was packed! Perla and I aren't much of gamblers, mostly because we don't know what we're doing, so we stuck to the 2 cent, nickel and 10 cent machines. Our favorite were the nickel slots! We definitely didn't come out winners, but we didn't lose too much either. The best thing to do is spend small amounts slowly! Talk about a nerdy moment, I was sitting at a machine and REALLY wanted to figure out the probability of actually winning and then realized that I was out to chill, relax, and just have fun-so I didn't. While Perla and I were at a set of nickel slots, a lady came and sat down next to me and won 80 dollars on her first hit! Talk about a lucky-duck. I switched to her machine, but didn't get the same results. I also saw a lady put in a hundred dollar bill into a nickel machine-talk about crazy..and more craziness, an old lady was playing the 100 dollar slots! WOWZAA! I guess it amazes me b/c I would never be able to bet so much money, when the probability of winning is so slim. I'm cautious and realistic-a good way to be, I believe.
I worked on my scrapbook some today..not a lot :(
Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment in the morning and then a doctors appointment in the afternoon to finally check my ankles and my stomach. I'm contemplating whether I should go run before my appointments...I think I probably will.
I haven't been to downtown Chicago's Magnificient Mile once this summer and I'm feeling deprived. Although, after seeing my bank statement I should really stay away, but I think I should do some window shopping and get the fresh air. I hope this happens before I leave or get too busy.
My sister's 26th birthday is this Saturday and I need to find a recipes for a cheesecake that has chocolate, fruit and nuts in it, so that's what I'm off to do right now. Wish me luck!
Until later, make pictures out of the clouds, find as many constellations as you can, and draw on your sidewalk with sidewalk chalk! Take care!
