If it wasn't for the teachers that I work with, I don't think I'd like my job as much as I do. They are AWESOME! During conferences they all made sure that I was doing okay without looking down on me. They treat me as equals and I love that. After conferences we went out to some dive bars and they all cheered to me surviving my first conference. It was really nice. They also knew I had no idea how to get around the area so they made sure I was right behind them the entire way and then waited for me to park so we could walk in and out of the pubs together. It was crazy because I believe about twenty of us went and we were in a train like fashion, one right behind the other. We also went to a karaoke bar, and that was pretty awesome.
I had a parent try to fix me up with one of her two sons. I was flattered. Then, at the bar, I was hit on by a woman for the first time!! I had no idea how to react so I hope I didn't make her feel bad or anything. Well, right now I need to be on my way home. I was supposed to have left an hour ago, but that never happens for me. Wish me luck. This weather is cold and dreary..ick.
