We had our first real snow fall today. It was beautiful, yet a pain in the you know what to drive in. I think in Des Moines, they wait until it stops snowing before they start plowing and adding salt to the streets. I decided to drive on I-235 to avoid all the big hills on University, in case I wouldn't be able to stop going downhill. That was a smart idea, but the bad idea was thinking and half hoping that the interstate would be plowed. It wasn't. I just had night class and the snow has lightened up a bit and the streets seemed to be semi-plowed so thats a good thing.
Apparently, we're getting more snow on Saturday and Sunday. If I get my stuff done then maybe I'll go play in the snow.
This year I'm asking Santa for some nice snow boots.
Off to finish my unit plan that was due last Tuesday!
Tomorrow is my last practicum and the Des Moines Register is coming...what is a girl to wear???
