Closing Down

Yesterday, because of all the ice the university was closed! It was kind of nice because that gave me more time to finish some assignments and study. I did, however, have to take an hour out of my schedule to take the ice off my car. All of our cars had a thick layer of ice on it so we couldn't get into our cars. I was ready to be defeated for the fact that my scrapers were inside of my car when Kwesi said he'd help me. He took a butter knife to slice around the driver-side door so I could get inside and turn on my car and get my scrapers. We pounded, cracked and scraped at the ice for half an hour. Then another Drake student was having the same trouble so we helped him uncover his car too! It was a nice Drake bonding moment. I thought everyone else knew each other but when we were done thats when everyone introduced themselves. That was that.

Today was busy. I had my first final today. I felt very unprepared but I don't doubt anything less than an A on the final and in the class, so I'm content that its over. I have three more to study for/work on. I met my penpal at King Elementary today! He's such a sweetheart. He was asking if I'd be working at Callanan in the year 2010-2011 because then there's a possibility that he could be my student! We made snowflake ornaments out of pipecleaners and beads and then played Math Bingo. My kid is pretty smart! I'm a proud penpal :)
Corie and I went shopping, I had to babysit, and then I went shopping with Annelise for a little bit to buy my dress for tomorrow night's formal!
I'm going to the Pharmacy formal and I'm REALLY excited for it. I have class until 9 pm, so I'm hoping we get out of there early so I dont have to miss more than an hour of the formal. It should be a good time and hopefully I'll remember my camera!
