Christmas Eve!

I'm home! I've made it a point to sleep in until noon every night since I've been back. I decided to take it easy until Christmas is over and then I'll be back in study mode because I need to take Praxis II on January 12th. I need to pass this test in order to be certified to teach-so wish me luck! I hear its a bit difficult.

The last few days at Drake were crazy. Wednesday, I was almost killed! I was about to step onto the loading zone behind a parked car on 30th street so I could cross the street when a van came barreling down the street and he was on the right path, but we made eye contact and he jutted towards me. I stepped back just in time because he ended up rear ending the parked car. The car flipped around and landed in the middle of the street. I would have been smashed. I was stunned, but alive so I guess that was okay. I live to tell my story. haha.

Thursday night there was terrible fog out so Cammeo ended up not coming out but I went to Dublin to hang out with Erin. I left my room so late that I drove there because the half mile walk just didn't seem very attractive on a cold, winter night. We hung out there until bar close and then I drove Erin home and we talked in my car for an hour, so I didn't get home until past 3:30 am. We decided we need to make our summer trip to Europe happen. I'm trying to convince my dad to pay for the trip as my graduation gift-so I hope it really happens. I'm at the point that I may end up taking out another loan just to go. This is something that I need to do for myself. Because I switched my major I had to X out studying abroad, and until I get out to Europe I'm just not going to be satisfied.

Because I went out on Thursday night I didn't get any packing done. I woke up at 9 am on Friday, packed and left Drake by 1:30 pm. A bit late but I wasn't in any rush to get home. It was foggy for the entire trip and I was tired so the drive was dreadful.
I got home and my mom and I went shopping! I was so tired though that we ended up not buying anything because I was too tired to stand.

Since then, I've been shopping everywhere!

I got a chance to hang out with Andy and that was pretty awesome. He's probably the first person to say that I'm not strange, but "level-headed" and I like that. I felt really old talking with him this time around because we're both hired for our future careers and its not about the drama but about real life now. He's moving to California and I'll be in Iowa for some time. We both don't know where we'll end up but its all right. Honestly, I don't think I'll end up back in Illinois-mostly because I want to go to grad school abroad and I have all these other places that I want to see. I guess we'll see where I end up.

I was in The Container Store and this man basically told me his life story. The store associates had to save me from him because he would not stop talking and he told them he had found the 'love of his life'...which apparently was me. For the duration of my visit at the store they walked me around and even to the check-out counter to ensure I was not approached by that man again. THAT was quite amusing.

Today is Christmas Eve! I have to wrap presents!
I have Rhianna's song, Don't Stop the Music playing in my head.

Happy Holidays to all!
