Procrastination

I've got a major case of procrastination for the summer. I need to clean my apartment and organize it so it doesn't look so unpacked. I also need to clean my closet because my craft supplies have exploded throughout the entire space. Something important too, I need to plan and organize for teaching that will start in a little over a month! I need to get some sticky tack so I can go to school and at least hang up my posters so I feel like I did something. I need to go to AEA 11 and get some of the problem solving posters for my class, as well. I'm just lazy! AND, I don't want to drive because I'm not getting the best gas mileage. My filter needs to be changed, and so does my oil. I've over due for both. My timing belt is something that the mechanics have been nagging me about for a very long time, but I don't think I can afford it right now and my dad keeps saying I don't need it...but what happens if my car croaks? Then, I'm stuck without a car and I'm sure my daddy isn't going to be happy to help me pay for the repairs because of cost. I hate the gas prices and I hate how fast it goes through. I suppose come September I'll get my first real paycheck, but come November I'll get my first loan repayment bills, too.

Even with the tight crunch for money, Greg and I are going to Omaha for the Omaha Zoo in a couple of weeks. That was one of my goals for this summer, especially since I'm staying in Des Moines the entire summer. I requested the weekend off and I hope I get it, but my manager doesn't tell me until the week of the date...I'm assuming he will honor my request.

Greg's hair is growing back! I think by the time his treatment is over (a little over 2 years now) he will have his long shaggy hair back--or at least we're both hoping. The funny thing is that we seem to be the only ones that like his long, shaggy hair. Everyone else likes his bald head...hmm.

Well, will I be successful today before work and get something done? I sure hope so! Wish me luck!
